The Porax-38 was a tough, powerful, long-range craft, which initially was designed and manufactured by Buuper Torsckil Abbey Devices from a planet Utapau. During the Clone Wars Utapau decided to stay with the Republic and not align itself with Confederacy of Independent Systems. Following that decision Utapau ceased to suplly Separatists with its products, and CIS leadership ordered Baktoid Arms Workshop to start producing a copy of very successful Porax-38 for their own use. When several Porax-38 starfighters were captured by CIS, BAW successfully copied the design and began to produce newly rechristened Rogue-class starfighters, which were virtually identical to Utapaun P-38s, but with several key modifications. Nevertheless, some variations of Rogue-class were produced with P-38s life-support systems intact to be used by living pilots. Infamous bounty hunter Cad Bane owned modified and enhanced P-38/Rogue hybrid starfighter, Xanadu Blood. Read more... |
